Level of trust
A key component of NoSpamProxy is a function that has never been
featured in any other anti-spam solution. The Level of Trust filter
The filter learns the communications relationships - sender and recipient
addresses - and assigns bonus points (trust points) to these.

False positives and quarantine
NoSpamProxy does not file any mails into a quarantine folder.
The problem with all anti-spam solutions is that software decides whether or not
a mail is spam and whether it should be let through. The general problem in this
is that not all spam messages are detected, as well as the fact that good mails
are incorrectly blocked.

Non delivery reports
As you have possibly already read under false positive and
quarantine, NoSpamProxy does not use any quarantine, but rather refuses messages
and creates an NDR (non delivery report). Previously, it was usual as a service
to generate a non delivery report and transmit it to the sender.

NoSpamProxy or MTA?
However, the increase in advertising messages has also persuaded the
manufacturers of mail servers to include various filters in their systems. The
question therefore arises as to what extent a product such as NoSpamProxy is
still required. We think it is.
NoSpamProxy is a not a mail server as such, but rather an SMTP
proxy, that passes on all connections to your actual mail server with a brief
delay. So that NoSpamProxy can work effectively, incoming SMTP connections must
first reach NoSpamProxy. Any relay prior to that is not possible, since the
connections cannot otherwise be refused without danger. Maybe you are already using Microsoft Exchange 2003 and have
installed the Intelligent Message Filter. Even within this configuration,
NoSpamProxy is more important than ever, as IMF is recognised as being highly
efficient, but only becomes a secure solution when used in conjunction with
NoSpamProxy.
